Hi

I started playing online some months ago. Soon I realized that there was something wrong. Some months later and about 15.000 euro's down the drain I realized I have a problem. I self excluded my self from the casino but soon after I could make another account with the same details only a different email.

Is that legal?

Debatable. Your original account would still be self excluded, but I'm assuming that's as far as their initial checks will go then, upon registering a new one. You'd probably have to search far and wide to find any casino that ultimately allows you to stick with multiple accounts though. So in practice, what would probably happen now is that any and all of your winnings and/or deposits will be confiscated by them as soon as you try to cash out and verification checks are triggered, due to you breaking their terms and conditions by having registered twice. Both accounts would then be blocked permanently most likely. My advice to you would be to accept the loss and take this as an expensive life lesson, that this is not for you. Check out some software that blocks online casinos on your devices. Never look back, and enjoy the many other things life has to offer besides gambling.

I know and you are right

I just find it weird that you are talking with them express your problem they block an account and you can create another by email, I mean email should not be considered an authentication method. They let you deposit they authenticate you, accept your deposits but then block your withdrawals your wins and also doesn't refund your deposits 🤷‍♂️

It seems to be a common practice for a lot of the more questionably operating casinos. In short, you got yourself screwed here. It's good to know these things beforehand. If you can deposit and play without any validation checks done (just on the basis of an e-mail address and a name/location) you can be sure that you'll run into these kind of checks as soon as you've cashed out once or twice. You can also be pretty sure that you've been playing somewhere where gambling responsibly will most probably not be a main concern.

These checks are triggered when withdrawing, not when depositing, because these guys in all likelihood operate under shady licenses, so chances are good that they make up their own rules as they go along anyway. It is, of course, much more welcoming for new players if they can just go ahead and do their thing (deposit money and play) without having to run through all sorts of checks right at the start. So that's probably a conscious choice on their part as well. I don't know where you were playing from, but if that was from the Netherlands then this casino was illegal to play on regardless of what happened. Trying to fight against it will probably be fruitless, since they'll just fall back on something within their own terms and conditions stating that they have the right to confiscate all winnings and/or deposits when assuming player fraud (which having multiple registered accounts would most definitely fall under) and send you on your way. Live and learn!
