Populair gaming platform Steam heeft aangekondigd niet langer bitcoins te accepteren. In het verleden kon er met bitcoins worden betaald, maar Steam heeft laten weten niet meer overweg te kunnen met de volatiliteit van de coin en bijbehorende hoge kosten. Daar waar in het beginsel een fee van €0,20 gangbaar was, was dit later het honderdvoudige. Steam liet weten de bitcoin in de toekomst wellicht te zullen accepteren. 

Ik vermoed dat steeds meer bedrijven hier tegenaan lopen. Dat zou natuurlijk niet goed zijn voor bitcoin en zijn achterban (investeerders). Misschien valt het mee?
