Polen is in Europa voorloper als het gaat om blockhain technologie. Op dit moment is Polen bezig met de ontwikkeling van een eigen nationale cryptocurrency. De Poolse Blockchain Technology Accelerator (PATB), opereert namens het Ministerie van Digitalisering en is bezig met de ontwikkeling van een digitale nationale cryptomunt onder de naam digital PLN (dPLN). Op dit moment is er al een werkende basisversie van de munt en wordt dit concept uitgewerkt. Uiteindelijk wilt men deze virtuele munt koppelen aan de Poolse zloty. 100 stuks dPLN zou dan 100 zloty waard moeten zijn en andersom. Deze koppeling heeft nog goedkeuring nodig van de Poolse overheid. De munt moet aan een aantal regels voldoen, een regel hiervan is dat deze niet anoniem mag zijn.

Met deze munt wilt Polen het huidige banksysteem revolutioneren
